Homework Policy
I expect for fourth graders to read for 20 minutes every night. I trust parents to monitor this themselves. It is important! The only way to become a better reader is to READ!!! It is easy for me tell who reads at home and who does not.
In addition to reading nightly, fourth graders will usually have 10 - 12 math problems Monday - Thursday. These problems are a review of the work we are doing in class.
I do not assign a lot of homework, and I usually give students time to do homework in class. I believe that if students work hard at school and try their best, there is no need for a lot of homework! However if we do not give 100% during class time, I will give extra assignments to take home.
